Thanks to the support of Sultan Hamengku Buwono VIII then the Museum Sonobudoyo anniversary in 1935. The Museum has one of the largest collections in Yogyakarta, namely
about 62.661 fruit. The collection consists of a variety of objects are artifacts ranging from batik keris, classical statues, ceramics, pottery, ceramics, ancient weapons, and many more. The origins of the collection is a grant from Java, a bevy of experts Insitute of Arts and culture in Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, whose members consist of people of Indonesia and foreign countries.
